  January 18, 1988    Huntington Beach Pier

 

  It was a Monday, MLK Birthday holiday, and I was a Senior @ HBHS and had a day off. My dad suggested I take my new camera to the HB Pier, as high storm surf was expected. Took my Cannon A-1 and 10 rolls of color film and cruised down to the north side of the pier, and snapped photos of one set after the other, each building larger and larger, until I was lucky enough to snap this shot. I will never forget that day in Huntington Beach, Calif.
